Pope Francis arrived today in Nairobi, Kenya. This is the first leg of a 6-day tour that will also take him to Uganda and the Central African Republic.
The pope was greeted at Nairobi's airport by Kenyan President Uhura Kenyatta. On 26 November, he will hold a mass in Nairobi, which 50 0000 people are expected to attend.
The pope's visit to Kenya is a gesture of support for the country, in which terror group Al Shabab killed 148 students, most of them Christian, during an attack on a college in April of this year.
